
Dr Robert Coleman qualified from Manchester medical school in 1995.
After working at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston he completed his General Practice training and worked at The Central Surgery Gorleston and the North Sea medical centre combining traditional general practice and occupational health focused on the oil and gas industry off the East Coast.
He then moved to the coastal to of Kessingland in Suffolk to focus on general practice and training of the next generation of GPs. He continued to provide medicals for seafarers as an approved doctor for the Maritime and Coastguard agency.
Having retired from general practice in 2024 he continues to undertake MCA ENG 1 medicals as the sole approved doctor in Suffolk and has been re-approved to undertake OE UK oil and gas medicals along with those for on and off-shore wind turbines.
He also works as the Lead Medical Examiner at the James Paget University Hospital.
